William Yeoward Crystal’s Sapphire Goblet and Oak Leaf and Scallop Gold Dishes are included in the Traditional Home’s “New+Next” feature in the July/August issue. The theme is “Checkmate”, referring to Pierre Frey’s lovely red and white gingham fabric, used here as a tablecloth. The cloth is contrasted and complemented with tea service and flatware in a blue, white and gold palette.
This color palette seems to really be “of the moment” in the decorating world at present – see the image from Mark D. Sikes’ dining room at the Kip’s Bay Showhouse earlier this year.
Our decorative Gold Dishes are Limoges porcelain, painted with 24k gold paint. There are a variety of leaves and other shapes available. They are terrific for holding paper clips or stamps on a desk, for holding jewelry or cufflinks at bedside, or simply for adding a beautiful touch of whimsy to a dining table, or a coffee or side table in a living room.
