As many of our retailers and customers know, William Yeoward Crystal has been a keen advocate of global Marine Conservation.
With the introduction of our pattern Palmyra , part of our American Bar Collection, we made a commitment to support the work of The Nature Conservancy Palmyra Atoll Research Station for the study and preservation of the marine environment, in particular the pristine coral reefs, fish and sea turtles that abound in and around the Palmyra Atoll.
We pledged to donate a portion of all sales of our Palmyra pattern to the Nature Conservancy.
In April, Tim Jenkins, Managing Director of William Yeoward Crystal, was pleased to present Mr. Sven Haarhoff, Director of Philanthropy and Dr. Alex Wegmann, Program Director Palmyra Project with a donation toward the funding of this research. We are very grateful to our retailers for the part they have played in contributing to this exciting project through sales and promotion of Palmyra. And many thanks to the customers who have bought Palmyra pieces for their own use or to give as gifts – your purchases have helped us to make a substantial contribution to this research!
The photograph seen here was taken in April at a special lunch in Honolulu when the donation was made. At the lunch were (from l to r): Hank Lynch, Field Manager Kaneohe Project; Sven Haarhoff, Director of Philanthropy; Tim Jenkins, CEO and Managing Director, William Yeoward Crystal; and Alex Wegmann, Program Director Palmyra Program.
This support will continue, with a portion of the sales of items from the Palmyra pattern going toward future contributions. Buy something lovely for your Summer entertaining, knowing you are supporting a great cause with your purchase!
