William Yeoward Crystal was honored to be asked to design a table for the annual New York Botanical Garden’s Orchid Dinner, which was held in the Grand Ballroom of the famous landmark hotel, The Plaza, on Wednesday, February 8th. All proceeds from this Dinner underwrite the development of the Garden’s orchid research collection, which helps maintain the highest horticultural standards of orchid conservation. With media sponsor Veranda at the helm, the tables at this year’s dinner were truly stunning!
Our table featured live orchids in hues of white and pink, with the Azzura Centerpiece Bowl with Pedestal anchoring the table. Surrounding the Azzura piece were Isadora Pineapples, as well as an Avington Cachepot, a Palmyra Ice Bucket, and several vases potted with orchids. Blodwyn and Paula Salts were used conventionally to hold salt, and as posy vases.
The table settings featured our Leckford China and Harlequine Side Dishes, which looked fresh paired with a tablecloth and napkins in shades of green. Palmrya Wines were paired with alternating Green and Blue Marina Goblets. The Festival napkins are by Sferra, in Fern.
