NY NOW, formerly and informally still known as “The Gift Show”, took place as usual in the heat of August. We had many visitors to our Showroom, including old friends and brand-new accounts. Many thanks to the buyers and owners who visited us!
The color story for the floral arrangements was somewhat informal this time around – lots of white and green, with yellow mixed into some bouquets, and red in others as a nod to the upcoming Holiday Season. The Country table’s palette was fun shades of orange, while the American Bar table had a grand, tropical arrangement to celebrate the recently introduced Palmyra pattern.
Take a look at the low, wide arrangement in the Harlequine 14″ Centrepiece Bowl. Many visitors were “wowed” by it, and it was so simple to do. We just cut stems of greenery and laid them in the bowl, cut white roses until their stems were about 4 or 5″ tall, then arranged them so the branches held up the roses. No floral foam or other florist’s tools necessary – “just add water”! I’ve included an image of this bowl with nothing in it as well – it is beautiful on its own or filled with fruit, flowers, a grand trifle or anything else you might imagine!
We were also asked to provide a display for the 41 Madison Lobby. We used pieces pulled mainly from the Portia and Harlequine patterns from our Crystal Collection, as well as colorful Carmen Candle Lamps in Scarlet. We love how the magnolia branches, fun desserts, and Champagne create a celebratory vignette.
