William Yeoward Crystal is delighted to be a part of Flower Magazine’s Tenth Anniversary Sept/Oct issue! We’ve advertised with a lovely image featuring the Jasmine pattern from the William Yeoward Country Collection. This pattern is pretty, yet bold and graphic – pieces of Jasmine would add a welcoming, organic touch to any table setting. Featured here in Jasmine are the Footed Comport, the Carafe (with rounded bottom) and the Classic Carafe.
William Yeoward has written a new book, called Blue & White and Other Stories, and Flower has featured it here with beautiful photos and insights from William. With his signature wit and joie de vivre, William discusses how he is inspired by his travels abroad and by everyday objects that often get included on his “Instagram pages”, mood boards of a sort that “reveal the myriad of color influences that surround all of us if we are open to them”.
In his latest book, William touches on blue & white, of course (often with dashes of red), but he also explores other color combinations he enjoys employing: red & orange, ochre & green, and pink & grey. His aesthetic revolves around interiors being “artfully not arranged”, and he enjoys bringing together disparate objects, relishing the “juxtaposition between the modest and the marvelous”. That viewpoint influences William’s table settings as well, where he prefers to mix and match patterns in an artful way, as it is “just more fun and interesting to mix things up”.
William’s book naturally contains many inviting table settings featuring items from William Yeoward Crystal. One table in the Flower feature includes the Vita Amethyst Coupes and DOF Tumblers, with a Kate Decanter and Georgina Goblets, and a second one highlights Adele Sperical Vases with Vesta stemware.
